The notion of head, hands, and heart actually goes back to Swiss educator Pestalozzi (1746 – 1827) who stressed the need for balancing the head, hands and heart in education.
I cannot remember where I found this. Must be written in the tradition of Christian Morgensterns Fish’s Nightsong from 1895.
